Proastiakos, the regional trainThe regional train (Proastiakos) connects the Athens Airport to the main train station of Athens (Larissis) and Acharnai Railway Station, connected themselves to the national railway network.

The regional train leaves every 15-25 minutes from Athens Airport to the Plakentias Station, where you can change trains to continue towards the city center (metro line 3 to Egaleo), using the same ticket.

Part of the service operated for the first time during the the Olympic Games of 2004. Thus it is relatively modern and offering a confortable service. The train is climatized.

  • Piraeus - Athens - Halkida line
